5.5kW Diesel Wood Chipper — Commercial Throughput, 6 Tons of Chips per Hour
This is the workhorse version of our chipper line — built for the operator who runs it 8 hours a day, every day. Powered by a 5.5 kW (7.4 HP) diesel engine with strong low-end torque, it chews through wet branches at 3–4 tons per hour and straw/grass at 5–6 tons per hour — about 50% more throughput than the gasoline model.
The wide angled feed hopper accepts branches straight from pruning shears, while the curved discharge chute directs chips into a trailer, collection bag, or directly into a pile. Reversible hardened steel blades can be flipped before replacing, doubling blade life and cutting your consumables cost in half.
Fuel efficiency is where diesel really wins — for sustained operations, the per-hour running cost is significantly lower than gasoline. The trade-off is 10 kg of extra weight and a slightly louder startup, but for commercial contractors, biomass collection points, large livestock operations, and municipal green-waste work, this chipper pays back the diesel premium in the first season.
The 150 kg chassis with two pneumatic wheels lets one person reposition it around the yard. Wooden export crate (1300×650×1260 mm) included for safe container shipping.
